Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos along with all dramatic performances. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. Her early professional career was spent performing with various opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She's a frequent solo performer for private events and parties singing traditional Latin American Music. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music alive.
