Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. At the age of five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and attended an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma was just six when she decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actress. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part time theatre school in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. In a school play and an Stagecoach show, she was the lead at the age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having eight consecutive auditions. Emma's debut on screen came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in 2001. The film was also the most successful film in 2001. Opening weekend and day the sales were record breaking. The film received praise from reviewers, and so were the performances of its three new stars. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five prizes for her work in the film and was awarded the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in the feature Film.
